Lighting in all its facets

Scheduled to take place from 6 to 8 October in Padua, Illuminotronica is the exhibition fair promoted by Assodel, the Italian Federation of Electronics Suppliers, for those who install, design or apply smart lighting technologies, systems and products into domotics and surveillance systems.

Smart lighting, Li-Fi, OLED, Internet of Things and Solid State Lighting are terms connected with innovation and new technologies that – thanks to the growth of LED lighting – are changing the way we think of interior lighting. These topics will be at the centre of Illuminotronica 2016, which is set to offer a serious and in-depth debate about lighting in all its facets.

Friday 7 October is the day dedicated to lighting professionals

The most important day of the event will be Friday 7 October that will include major events for lighting designers, architects, technicians, and lighting professionals in general. It will offer an entire day of meetings, demos and conferences that will culminate with the award-giving ceremony of the Codega Award that will be hosted at the prestigious Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.

Among the other events to take place on Friday 7 October there will be a conference with the title:

“Human Centric Lighting: can smart lighting systems improve the quality of life for people?”

People are at the centre of lighting: the impacts of artificial lighting in terms of safety, well-being and life quality improvement of an aging population.

The debate will include the preliminary results of a research taking place at the “Luce” Lighting Lab of the Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with ENEA, focused on defining the current situation of residential lighting, both natural and artificial, to submit futuristic scenarios and smart LED lighting solutions integrated in the IoT.
