Innopolis is a new manufacturing and residential complex located in Tatarstan, a republic of the Russian Federation.
Innopolis was conceived to be a city of innovation, the headquarters of advanced technology companies, a university town and a high-tech residential complex in harmony with the surrounding nature. The project provides an interesting perspective on the development of new creative and planning solutions in big and modern countries like Russia. The project of the new complex was agreed with local institutions and national political authorities to offer new opportunities for industrial and social growth.

Consistently with town planning development, the infrastructure will be constantly expanded and upgraded. Designed in 2012, the city was officially inaugurated in 2015, providing both start-ups and international corporations with office buildings, research centres and business hubs. It is also an interesting opportunity for the world’s best high-tech companies that can establish their own branch office here. To favour the arrival of companies from all over the world, the city area was included into a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) that offers economic and logistic advantages for all the companies operating in the city.
Specialized in the sector of modern IT technologies, Innopolis University, the most recently inaugurated higher education institution in Russia, aims at becoming the hub for all innovation and trends, in addition to being the centre of choice for the training young entrepreneurs in business and industry.

In this context and in the name of high-tech innovation, the choice of the designer fell upon Disano illuminazione, the only Italian company that contributed to the LED lighting of most of the complex.
